Things to think about during the Philadelphia Eagle's off season:

Although the defense did struggle last season, you could see that toward the middle of the season, things started to come together for the young and optimistic group. One thing to keep your eye on is the cornerback situation. We have three guys who can start on any team in the NFL, and a majority of the time there are only two on the field. Rodgers-Cromartie was not comfortable being in the slot, he's an outside player. In my opinion this means of the the three big guns will no longer be an Eagle come next season. If you guys remember Asante Samuel displayed his frustration publicly last year and could be potentially on his way out of philly. There are three scenarios that could happen. Asante could be traded come draft day to move up in the draft which is something Andy Reid has been able to do in the past. Another option would be trading him for a draft pick, this would free up cap space if the birds want to pay D-Jax the money he's going to want to stay in Philly. The last possible scenario would have him remaining an Eagle, which I do not see happening because the birds need more help at the LB and Safety positions.
The birds offense has had continuous struggles in the redzone. Primarily because they've been lacking that big, physical, go-up and get it type of receiver since Terrell Owens got sent packing. Look for the Eagles to go after Plaxico Burress, whom has already said that he would be interested in coming to Philly. In his first year back in the league Burress had a decent season with the Jets last year totaling 45 grabs and 8 touchdowns on a team that failed to make it to the playoffs. Burress showed he can still play with the best of the best in the NFL, and could be the difference for the birds in the redzone.
Interesting. Now I should have you watch the Packers to see if you could give me an analysis of their 2012-2013 season. I know they need better defense. I'm starting to learn!
